The reason is ay this is the following.

I do the hold group thing as detailed in the doc, the phone then starts asking for bin file

x10d01a2_3.bin

There is no such bin file.

There is a

x01d01a2_3.bin

Im thinking they have made a mistake with the binfile name. I am not in a position to actually test this by renaming the script file or bin file.

Just wondering like.

You are right, there is no x10 file
the x01 could be for the 5601 phones so i would not rename it !!!
But you do not need the 2_3 file because the 5610 uses the 2824 file sind 4.1 !!!

Do you use an old 46xx file ???

I notice this as well, confused me quite a bit. I just grabbed the (missing) bin files (x10d01a2_3.bin & x20d01a2_3.bin)it wanted from the 4.0 release and dropped them in 4.1 manager directory. All is well now. I wonder if the VPN software will run just fine on the newer 2824 bin, or if it was specifically designed for the 2_3 bin it asks for. Anyone know?

The binfile for vpn is the 2_3252 so you could be right

Exactly what I noticed, so I wonder what Avaya says on this.

Yes... we have experienced this problem as well. My "workaround" was to replace the last line of the 46xxvpn.scr file with:

GET 46vpnupgrade.scr

This works and the 56xx telephones successfully upgrade to the VPNRemote firmware...

Enjoy your holiday!
