i have set every language setting i can to spanish (mexico) but still no luck. i only see a button on the task tray to change from englisg to spanish after roboot, but i chnage to spanish i nothing chnages. I want the menus and such of the operating sytem to be in spanish, any clues. also when i change to spanish using the button near the task tray nothing happends and it switches back automatically to english . any ideas

The only way to change the interface to another language, is to uninstall your current windows version, and Install a Spanish locale Version. Windows come in localized versions for different regions. So only a Windows OS for latin america and/or Spain will have the menus and dialogues in Spanish.

I believe Microsoft issued a language pack at some point, but it was only for the Dutch versions of Windows.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

u need a special xp version (mui, Multilingual User Interface), there it´ll work.
the tasktray button only changes the keyboard layout.
