has any one setup a skype gateway

Is there a way to configure the skype gateway that would support any call from the pbx extension to any skype client over the internet and not use pstn. This would be the same for incoming calls. Incoming calls would be answer by a IVR then routed the correct ext. For example if we had a main number publish 1234@sip.acme.com and this was answer by an IVR could you have it so it supportd muitlple calls?

There are a couple of Skype gateway appliances that connect to any PBX and work this way.

you are talking about a sip gateway the main number example
you used is not a skype number its a sip number. if your
system allows sip trunking you would program that number
just like a d.i.d or analog line and point it the pilot number
of your ivr as fas as multiple lines you get that from your sip provider or you set up your own

Skype Connect for Avaya was launched in 2010 providing native integration (SIP) without the need for additional hardware (if you are already SIP enabled).

Is it possible that If I connect a SKYPE Gateway to my existing LG ARIA SOHO PABX, I can connect to that using my CELLULAR PHONE, lets say for example... I'm outside for a meeting, I can call the office, punch in the skype access extension number, then get the SKYPE dial tone so that i ca ring the USA and CANADA to make transactions for free... TNX
