I need to programatically alter which hardware profile will be the default on startup. The reason is that I have some servers that need to normally start up a set of services on startup but not when the previous shutdown was due to a UPS powerfail signal.
When the server shuts down it can run a command file. I plan to use the command file to run a program that will cause a special hardware profile to become the default. The services in question will be disabled for the special hardware profile.
I think that all I need to find out is the location in the registry of the default hardware profile. Can anyone point me at it?
thanks;
