Is there a way to see the hardare key using a sw way?
I have to install phone mgr pro trial version for an IP office 406 system, but I have not access to the hardware key
thanks
Gianluca

If you mean the Feature Key dongle, you can install Key Server off the Admin CD onto the machine which the dongle is connected to, and then when you reboot you see a logo down by the clock in the system tray. Double click the Key Server logo and it tells you the number of the attached feature key.

If you don't have access to the key server computer, then you will have to ask someone else to do it for you. Failing that, check through your records. Every dongle we sell, we always keep a note of the dongle number.

If it's an IPO attached dongle, or you can't do the software method, then you must get access to the dongle to see the code which is printed on it.

You could use monitor. It unfortunately requires a system reboot, but during the restart, you should see a "LIC: Added Keylok Token 00:47:de:d2". That last bit is the licence key serial number in hex.

Well, there you go, I never knew that. One day I'll know as much as Sizbut, but it won't be one day soon!!

;-)

Thanks, I'll remember that one.

I didnt know that one either, unfortunatly the reboot requirement will limit its practical uses (if I can run monitor localy I can probably read the dongle)

I misleaded it...
With the new version of sw packages you can install the hw key enabler directly on ip office itself....
Ad I found it!
Sorry for the time spent, but thanks anyway for the useful information.

I wish I could accept the praise, sadly its just the effect of continuous caffine.
