Hardware Inventory - How To?

I very new to this and getting SMS to work right drove me nuts but it was my first time. I have the advance client installed on all my XP machines and they are reporting back to me. However, on the client machines under componets, some say installed and some say enabled. Are they all suppose to say enabled?

Second, my real question here is how can I perform a hardware inventory?
