I have a 40 gig harddrive and I installed windows 98 on it and it onlys shows that I have 2gigs of space. What I want to do is delete the partitions off the harddrive and start over. So what I need to know is what can I do to erease everything off the harddrive? I want everything off OS and Partitions. What do I do?

Use a 9x boot disk and fdisk and format the drive or use a W2K installation disk to do the same. If you can't see the full drive using these methods it may be that the size of drive is unsupported in the Bios. Check for your latest bios updates.

Also, 40 gigs is too larger for FAT32 to format as one drive (32 is the limit). You may want to brake your drive into 2 or more logical partitions. However you'll still need to check the bios more then likly to see the full drive.
