Hello all,
I've just signed in because i have a prblem with my SGI O2. I have no one else to turn to, so please be helpfull.
The problem is that i exchanged my SGI 4GB Harddisk for a 18GB compaq Harddisk. I used the FX util to label the disk en installed the software. After one day i tried to boot up the system and got the message that it could not find the boot device. When i try the FX utility it finds the disk and i can do all the steps. Label, repartition and so on. But when i try to install software it doesn't find the disk. Could this be a problem with a non-SGI disk or something else. I also had a 9,1GB Compaq Harddisk and this one worked for a week. Then i changed it for the 18GB disk.
I hope it is not the SCSI controller because this is expansive in repair. So, if anyone has an answer, it would be helpfull.
Thanks in advance,
