Hard Drive Preventing Resume from Standby? 1

My new PC build has one problem with Standby. I can easily place the PC into Standby, but it will not resume. I hear three loud clicks, coming from the Hitachi SATA hard drive (I think), and then I get the Blue Screen describing a hardware error. One screen told me I had a Kernel Inpage Error. Is that something to do with the swap file? Does this sound like a hard drive problem? I have an ASUS P4P800SE MoBo, 3 GHz Intel CPU, 1 GB Crucial RAM, and the 120 GB Hitachi Deskstar HD. OS is WinXP Pro SP2. Thanks.

Occording to
0xC000009A, or STATUS_INSUFFICIENT_RESOURCES: lack of nonpaged pool resources.

0xC000009C, or STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR: bad blocks on the hard disk.

0xC000009D, or STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED: bad cabling, non-termination, or the controller is not able to obtain access to the hard disk.

0xC000016A, or STATUS_DISK_OPERATION_FAILED: bad blocks on the hard disk.

0xC0000185, or STATUS_IO_DEVICE_ERROR: improper termination or defective cabling of SCSI-based devices, or two devices attempting to use the same IRQ.

I suggest you make sure the HD is completely attached, as well as switching cables and seeing if that is the problem. My experience with that error is that the HD is dying.

I changed my paging file to my second hard drive and now I do not get the Blue Screen error page. However, the PC now comes out of Standby and reboots. Do you know what would be causing this? Thanks.
