I have a WD 60 gig hdd. It's pretty new. Every 20 minutes, I think its the hard drive, a clicking sound will happen. It's only one click. XP doesn't seem affected by this. It isn't giving me any troubles at the moment, but I'm not sure if my hdd is going to crash or not.
Thanks for the help

Check your power options that you don't have it set to power down your hdd's after so many minutes

Like Happydownloader pointed out, it might be an energy-saving feature - surely if the interval is fixed at twenty minutes (won't be coincidence in that case).
Right-click your desktop, go the the Screensaver-tab, press Energy, and check what it says about harddisks.
This shouldn't happen when you're working on the computer, but only when you're idleing though.

Peace,

Yellow
