A few weeks ago I poured tea over my lap top (no milk or sugar). This did it no good at all. Sent it away to the insurance man - he bought me a new lap top because he's a very kind man. I purchased the hard drive from thr old laptop off him.

The problem is - how do I get the info off the old drive onto the new lap top. Ive tried replacing the new hd in the new computer with the old but just get a load of techie error messages. So I paused for thought and advice from you guys . Am I on the right track. Or is there another way. Can I use my desk top for this.

Thanks in advance
