Hi Guys,

I have a 5324 that the ringer/speaker just doesn't work! I have been told by support that it may be a setup issue. The handset has the same class of service as the rest of the working handsets at the office.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks

I will give that a try first thing monday morning and let you know.

It is just strange that it is a newly created user and a brand new handset?

The most usual fault with DOA stuff we have with phones is transmission/reception problems. last one was a one way xm fault that was recitified with a reboot till it failed again...

Another spanner in the works is that I've tried the handset on 2 different MXe's!

IP Device ID: 61
Circuit Location : 1 3 1 61 1
Extension : 9899
Active Features :
Phone Lock: UnLocked
MAC Address : 08:00:0F:3F:D9:77

This is output received from the locate feature command, No headset mode found.

Any suggestions?

You have been through the ringer/adjust menu in the 5224?

Yes thats the first thing I tried :/

The reson I havent written this off to DOA, is that it went in for a warranty claim but came back "tested working" and I was quite specific about the fault in the Claim form.

So if there are no sounds when using the Superkey and ringer pitch/adjust then your phone is faulty.
If you do have sounds then is your prime line set to 'no ring'
You set this up in the Multiline set group form.
