Can someone adivse where to look to confirm/configure communication settings between the handset & controller, i.e., 10/100, half/full duplex.
Thank you!

hit your services button on the ip set and scroll thru looking ip set cong settings (think that's what it's called).

ok for the handset side, what about the switch-side?

If ur having problems w/ the ip set connecting to the BCM, u need to check the set config under the services button on the set. That's where u go to make the set see the BCM once the ip client key code has been put on the BCM. In the set itself u need to enter the static ip for the set, S1 ip, and the BCM port #. or if using DHCP set the phone up for DHCP. This is also where u set full duplex etc.

The ethernet settings (10/100/Gig, half/full) only apply between the IP Phone and whatever data switch it is connected to. They are thus viewed/configured/changed on the IP Phone itself (through the local configuration menu as outlined by others) and the data switch (however it is done for that model/manufacturer).

Ok, how about the settings between the BCM and the ethernet switch?

That really depends on BCM version and how you're using it.
Are you using the BCM as the DHCP server?
In some situations, there is nothing special you have to do in the BCM. Just enable registration, build your DN's, and assign them to the IP sets during registration, or let the BCM hand them out automatically.
There is a full set of documentation on the BCM too.
