Handling name change in relational and data warehousing environments

Hi
I have a situation where the customer name (a credit card holder) is changed. How to handle this situation in (1)relational OLTP systems
(2)Data warehouse systems
considering that the company wants to retain the customer history as their decision making depends on usage history

You can implement the slowly changing dimension type where you can maintain the history, this is for Data warehouse system.
