Hi,

A chalenge:
Why can I get a Journada to synchronise within a Citrix session (with the help of ActiveSync)? But I can't get a Psion to do the same. (btw Psion does not work with ActiveSync, it got it's on synchronise software)
My only clue is that the Psion software can't work with a remapped Com-poort.

HI!

Ive got the same problem over here. Be sure you activated your com in Terminal Server Connection Configuration. then use in run:

net use com2: \\client\com2:

The problem is that you cannot synchronise your mail with your jornada. And the biggest problem... its works fine for 1 time.. just hope that it works the next time. i got sick and ired of this. so now i use something else. Im testing my jornada with a networkcard in it from xircom. with a program from Extended Systems. If you give me your email i will mail you the info.

You actually have ActiveSync working with Citrix? We tried about 2 years ago with NT4 TSE and Metaframe 1.8 using ActiveSync 3.1 and were unsuccessful. We did the Com Port redirection, so what did we miss?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated as this has been an area of interest.

Yes i have it working.. when synchronising for the first time you have to say that you use 2 computers.

And the user has to log on to 1 server.

Now whe have tested something else. Its a networkcard that fits in a handheld. the CAD5 cable is going into the wall, so your computer and jornada is not connected ever! You install a program on the jornada and the mailserver. the only thing the user has to do when he wants to synchronise is clicking the synchronise button on the installed app on the jornada. My users are very happy with it. I can send you documentation of the program.

Yes!...and any other tips on getting CE mobile devices to sync in a Metaframe environment (using both WinTerms and PCs). Does the network solution handle Contact lists and is the mail server required to be Windows based or could it be Unix OS? Does it support all flavors of CE?
