Is it possible to eliminate any partial group headings or footers that may appear at the bottom of the page. I'm having a problem where I have lines that extend through the section and a partial line is appearing at the bottom of the page but the data carries over to the next page.

The picture is a bit muddy for me, but you can force page breaks for any section, and make them conditional.

If you're just having problems with inserted lines, perhaps you can just better format those.

Post more specific information and 'll try to help.

Ok maybe there's a better way to do this but I'm creating table cells manually by using lines. And at the end of a page there isn't enough room for the entire cell so it goes to the next page, but the problem is that whatever room it does have for the line it carries it down so I have a table that looks like:

*******************************************
* * * *
*******************************************
* * * *

Sorry, that didn't clarify for this fuzzy ole mind.

I'm not sure what you mean by creating a table cell, is that to say that you're manually inserting a line between rows of data?

If so, how are you doing this?

You can just manually insert a line/row of asterisks under the data within the same detail/group section and it should all print on the same page if keep together is checked (right click the section and select format section).

I'm not using actual asterisks I'm using a line drawing object. Also I don't want to use keep together because it makes huge empty spaces on some of my pages and some of the groups are bigger than a page anyway.

Instead of formatting your line to "extend to bottom of page" format them to "extend to bottom of section".

I don't have it extending to the bottom of the page. It's just that when crystal can't fit a section on to a page it carries it over but the room that was left over gets filled by an empty section belonging to the same group and since my lines extend through that group, for some reason crystal prints them anyway.
