I was just browsing "stuff" and foud out that the movie "Three Days of the Condor" is based on the book "Six days of the Condor".

It seems that it was too long to make a movie spanning six days of action and suspense.

Can you think of any other movies which would benefit from similar treatment?

Lets start with "The Magnificent Three-and-a-Half" or possibly "The Slightly Soiled Six"

I didn't see anyone mention the Three and a Half Samurai and it's American knock-off The Magnificent Three and a Half.

@ Chris - Year Zero would apply to that one for so many reasons. Why restrict ourselves to only half values?

The fact that Year Zero never existed is very apropos
