H4kv3 Can't make calls. Need to restart DSCXL

Hi there.


We have a main PABX, witch connects others H4K's. Once a month (not a precise day) our HP4K V3 blocks and we and other PABX's cant make calls to each other.

We have a Duplex Arquitecture, so I just restart the DSCXL and the problem is solved for one month.


Do you know what it might be?

It sounds like a CODEWORD/Licencing issue.
Can you log on to the system via ComWin
and
DIS-CODEW;

We have a server that automatically renews our Codewords.

This is the Display:

Well if the CODEW is OK then you will need to look at the History around the time of the outage.

STA-HISTA:

See if there is anything relevant in there.

When you say 'restart the DSCXL' do you take it out and put it back in ?
 
No. I restart the button and since I have a duplex configuration other DSCXL is activated.

The same problem happens with all 3 DSCXL.
 
Like I said before, after we restart the DSCXL the problem is solved. Seams like the processor (or something else) keeps blocking from 20 to 20 days
 
OK There has to be some information in the HISTA file regarding this.
If you can not find any reference in the HISTA file then you would really need to log a support ticket with your maintainer.
Traces would need to be done on the RTM on the back plane.
Also you might need to upgrade/update to the last release of V3.
