I am trying to get a cs1000m rls 5.0 to make calls to a cs1000e rls 6.0 via h323 trunks. both sites are registerd with the nrs and both sites have the virtual trunks and d channels at idle. in ld 87 i have the dsc pointed to the rli with the virtual trunk route but when a call is made the the dsc on both ends i get reorder. i cannot trace the call to see if it is even hitting the route. any ideas.

Enable first the MSGO/MSGI of the Virtual D-channel in LD 96, to see if the outgoing/Incoming calls are hitting the trunk.

Check and Remove the TARG entry in RDB. Default TGAR value of an extension is 1, and TARG value of RDB is 1.In this scenario you cannot make an outgoing calls to virtual trunk.

Maybe if your using DMI check the CTYP 'CallType' to match
CDP, just remember TARG/TGAR are restricting on Route AccessCodes if matched

Cheers!!

make sure the NRS programming has both Gateways in the same Domain

Domain/UDP/CDP..... both gateways have to be in the same domain on the NRS.

then add the routing entry for the gateways (CDP codes)

Do an H.323 test in the NRS also, if it cannot find your gateway via the test, it will not work when dialed from a phone.

Thanks, I turned on msgo and msgi. it doesnt look like the calls are even hitting the vtrk route. I took the targ out of the RDB and still not luck. I am using cdp but no DMI. I have set CTYP in the RDB to cdp. I have been able to in the past to route calls over this same route to a BCM 50. Im lost. Thanks for your input

do a

ld 96
stat mon

see if TTY is enabled if not
do

ENL MON tty or just ENL MON.... forget which....

then try your calls.

by default monitoring is not enabled to TTY....

Thanks for all of the responses. I have made a little progress on this issue. I have it working to a simular cs100e on 6.0. I still am getting a fast busy when calling the site i am having issues with. i set up the dch monitor and am getting this message on both the 1000m and 1000e.
