Hello I have set up a 9608 as a remote worker and followed the steps in the H.323 Avaya IP manual. The phone has registered and worked on site where the IP Office is but remotely it keeps rebooting. I can see the button programming but make no calls. Also I see it registered in Monitor. Here is the last monitor trace.

Is there a firewall at the remote location? I had a user put their remote 9608 behind a sonic wall and it disconnected all the time. Also one way/no audio is another firewall symptom.

Ports can be opened, but I find putting the phone in a dmz is the quickest fix.

H323 Nat traversal tends to be unreliable at the best of times.
I would always recommend using a VPN, either in the handset if it is for a user that may move from one location to another, or better yet a Router to Router VPN if the remote phone is in a fixed location.

what it costs in extra hardware will almost certainly be reclaimed in reduces support calls :)

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

@vpmol - FWIW, it appears as though your 9608 is running 6.2.2 software which is a couple of versions behind current.
