Dear All,

I have done the networking between ISP having cisco device and the BCM200 using IP trunking H323 protocol. The BCM running 4.0 software release.

I can make an outgoing call, but the second party can not hear me (I can hear him very well).

In case of the incoming call, the caller can hear the ring back but the call will get disconnected as soon as I pick up the handset and it will show on the display screen (Network Unavailable 41).

Could you please guys help me in troubleshooting it and have the communication established both ways.

Thanks

Dear,

What I have to check in the Gateway??? Anything specific thing required in there???

Info from Nortel about the ports required for IP Phones.

Signaling between the IP telephones and the Business Communications Manager uses Business Communications Manager port 7000.

Voice packets are exchanged using the default RTP ports 28000 through 28255 at the Business Communications Manager, and ports 51000 through 51200 at the IP telephones. If these ports are blocked by the firewall or NAT, you will experience one-way or no-way speech paths.

Do you have your default gateway/ Next hop IP programed?
if you dont the system doesnt know where to send the voice packets.

Dear All,

Now I have change the situation. I'm coonecting the BCM and H323 provider directly point to point.

Situation 1: From my PC I can ping the BCM and the H323 Gateway.

Situation 2: From the BCM I can ping my PC and I get an error.

Situation 3: From the provider side, they can ping my PC but also they will receive error if they are trying to ping the BCM.

I tried to use the LAN2, but I cant change its IP address. Every time I change the IP address for LAN2 and reboot the system. It will be back to its defualt IP Address which is 10.10.11.1.
