Hi all.

Just deployed an IPO R9 and noticed that extension to extension calls take long to establish. (3 seconds)
On another IPO it takes 1.5 seconds.
Is there a way of speeding up the call process?

Yes there is, go to system > telephony > change the "Dial Delay count" to the numberplan length, so if your extension number length = 2 digits then make it 2.
And change the "Dial Delay Time" to 1.

dial delay count needs to be 1 more than your exn length unless you are dialling a line access code. otherwise some external calls may mis-route*

This depends on the extn range you are using & the number plan for local numbers in your area.

if you have sip trunks (which require enblock dialling) then you need a count of 0 an a delay of at least 3 seconds for reliable out-dialling

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Nowadays ARS has it's own timeout timer which can be used to enforce en-bloc dialling using the appropriate shortcodes.
Since the introduction of that feature I alwas set the system dial delay counter at a value matching the extension length and the dial delay count to 1.
It never fails, it all depends on proper programming.[pc3]
