GWsie 6.5 won't open Word files when clicked, but will using right click 'open with'. The same with jpegs too. Windows Explorer file types are set up OK, are there some other settings?
Cheers

It sounds as though during the installation of the GW Client the integration of your MS applications and GW went astray. Or the MS applications were loaded after the GW Client was installed. The integration of MS applications and GroupWise is done at the time the GroupWise Client is installed. The best way I have seen to take care of this is to just re-install the GroupWise client. During the installation GroupWise will recognize any MS application(s) (and some other types) you have on your PC and will ask if you want to integrate them. Either check or uncheck the ones it lists and then complete the install.

Or as a second thought the MS Applications Integration might be disabled. You can check that by going into the GW Client and going to Tools/Options/Documents and looking to see if Enable Integrations is unchecked. And also on the same screen if whatever application is listed under the Registered Applications section is enabled or disabled.

I have tried reinstalling GroupWise and it didn't work.
However I'll give it another go and check the other options that you have suggested.
I'll let know what happens.
Thanks

WE do not have any Integrations enabled. But have no problem with any attachments opening in the parent application by double-clicking

Check Tools/Options/Environment/Default Actions tab.
To change double-click options, select Open Attachment to open the documents after double-clicking.

also select Open in a New Window under Message Attachments.

Don't worry about setting Integrations.
