Has anyone experienced slow connectivity with cable modem connectivity?

Have four GroupWise Remote users all setup to connect to their Master mailbox via TCPIP(One of those users is myself, the IT guy!!).

One User suscribed to Rogers cable modem service and the other three Cogeco cable modem service. All of us running GW5.5.5. All of us experience slow response when loading the GroupWise client. Password prompt comes up quickly. After that the mailbox takes at least two to 5
minutes to load. Sometimes I get "Not Responding".

Our ISP moved us off AT&T backbone over to SPRINT. SPRINT denies PING packets. Since this change over, we all have experienced slow repsonse from GroupWise Remote Client. Nothing on the LAN end has been changed concerning GroupWise.

Does Groupwise Remote client rely on PING packets for any form of communication?

Has anyone experienced slow response times with GW Remote and cable modems?

Is there any settings I can change on the GroupWise server to speed up connectivity?

This is a tough one because the ISP says nothing seems to be wrong? Is it cogeco, or is it Sprint??

Have to rectify this. Clients are starting to complain!!!

To avoid the function "ping" and furthermore, have a secure link, use VPN to connect with Groupwise in direct link. That works very well! I use it with success.
