I found a couple of tutorials talking about how to make a GUI in C and it works fine, i can set it up however i wont. But i cant find out to update a control. I want to add new text to the old text of an edit box. I cant find the function to accomplish this. Also anyone know any good GUI in C tutorials?

What OS are you writing for?
Sounds like windoze to me but it's difficult to answer your question unless we know the OS.
Also, can you post links to these tutorials so that we can see what libraries they ues?

Can anyone please suggest a good GUI library for development with C on Linux?
If I can port it on Linux, thats an added bonus though.

qt is the big windowing library on Linux, don't recal if they are C or C++.
