Does anyone know if there is a graphical interface available for developing / debugging AWK programs?

The sort of thing I am looking for will allow you to ‘single-step’ through AWK scripts, add ‘watches’ for variables, etc.
Other features like syntax checking or even an included command reference would be excellent too.

I have search the web but can’t find anything but find it hard to believe no one has created such a tool!

Hi

For me is easy to believe that no such IDE exists. I never felt the need for such editor. For the "syntax checking" feature you can use an editor able to highlight syntax. For debugging the [tt]print[/tt] function is more then enough for me.

Thanks for the response feherke.

- I guess i'd better polish up on my AWK skills and start debugging manually with print.

Shaun.

There is pgawk which provides profiling.
