Hi,

I just got a used Goldstar GSX-408/816 Telephone System.
I have connected the first extension to 21 Button telephone with a screen. All I get is "...V1.3A" on the screen and the "DND/FOR" button is flashing. I have tried to press monitor so I will be able to reset the system, but nothing seems to work.

What should I do to get it working?

Thanks

I have a manual of 130 pages from LG/Goldsstar about the
GSX-408/816 (GHX-36/46 (GHX-820)).

Information is found with this link (see lower part of text in English).

Hi again

The GSX-408/816 uses four-wire cabling.

Maybe you need to re-check your cabling.

You can use a 4 pole or 6 pole BELL. Using a 6 port BELL
you dont use the two outermost pole.

Using a 4 pole Bell jack, the configuration is:
First colour: Yellow - DR (+24 Volt)
Second colour: Green - VT ( 0 Volt/ ground)
Third colour: Red - VR ( 0 Volt/ Gound)
fourth colour: Black - DT (+24 Volt)

If correctly cabled it will say STATION 100 in the display of the first phone...

I have 15 years experience on these systems, you definitely have a wiring issue.

Get your pairs and polarity right and your problems will go away

Zoom10000:

I have send the manual by email to you.
Hope that help you to give you success with the GSX.

I have about 7 years experience with LG/Goldstar.
The GSX/GHX systems were much more difficulter to install
with respect to cabling than the other GDK/LDK/IPECS systems.

Hi,

I have found the problem, in the fort of the PABX at the lower part there is a some kind of a cartridge with a metal handle saying, “Don’t remove”. I have tried everything and thought that I have nothing to lose. Therefore, I have removed it and put it back properly and now everything is working.

Thanks you all for your help.
