Hi, I have this problem. What can I do?

External sync should be in LIM 1, and the master for internal sync should be LIM 1 also.

Move everything back to LIM 1 before you try to troubleshoot anything else.

Before moving ext.sync. to LIM 1, try to complete internal sync.
SCICI:MCCL=x-x-xx-x, RCCL=, ACCL= (SMCCL,SRCCL,SACCL)
I dont't know reason why ext.sync. shoult be in LIM 1.

LIM 1 is the MASTER LIM and therefore the MASTER clock as well. Internal sync should be derived from LIM 1, the PCM link in MAG 0 of LIM one should be connected to GSMULT 0-0 and initiated as MCCL and any primary external sync source should be connected to LIM 1.

IMHO
MASTER LIM is this LIM, which is receiving external synchronization. One of PCM line form this LIM is marked as MCCL and this is clock source for GS.
We have some exchanges with external clock in LIM 3,4,6, and works fine.

The reason for having your external sync in LIM 1 is mainly for reloading. Reloading is done by lim 1.
If f.e. in your example lim 3,4 and 6 are down, lim 1 will start reloading these lim's and for this time LIM 1 will use it's internal sync source (since no external sync is available ), at the point where lim 3 is reloaded and restartet lim 1 will try to move the sync to lim 3 which usually causes some sync disturbance. This sync disturbance can cause the reloading of lim 4 and 6 to fail, possibly causing a lot of fault signals which may cause lim 1 to make a restart.
Specially if you have group switch problems and a large system these problems can give you a lot of headaches since you will not know that this sync disturbance may be causing your problems.
With your main sync source in lim 1 these problems cannot occur.
So it is not a must to have your main sync source in lim 1, it can save you a lot of problems in certain cases though.
