Groupwise Webaccess Login Format 1

i'm using NW5.0 with GW5.5
Till date we were not using webaccess.
i installed webacces recently with a lot of digging and probing at novell concerned sites, thanks a lot to novell support site and all those who helped me in this project
and the webaccess is working
Now the problem :-(
the server will not allow to login if we use the userid of my existing users
but if i create a new user he is able to login
my old users are able to login only when they use the login format as domain.postoffice.userid , but any new user is able to login even when we give only the userid
i'm totally getting jagged with this problem
can somebody help me in this

Hello pallu2k -

Are you running the 5.5 EP? Or, which support pack have you installed?

From NWADMIN, have you tried any of the GroupWise utilities (Validate, Check Databases, etc...?) You may want to look at the features of GWCHECK. It has some useful tools.
