We are running Netware 4.11 and GW 5.5.

What is the best path for upgrading to GW 6.5?

Thanks.

First you need to upgrade your servers, GroupWise 6.5 will not run on 4.11. Either 5.x or 6.x will run GroupWise 6.5. I just ran into this and was forced to upgrade. I found the licensing on Netware 6.x is a lot better for my environment than 4.11.

After you get your server upgraded then the upgrade to GroupWise is a snap. The old client still works with the new server agents so you don't have to upgrade the clients right away.

Is there an option to Migrate from Netware 4.11 to eDirectory on Win2k?

We only use Novell as a GW server.

Thanks

Sorry I don't know that much about E-Dir, someone else is going to have to answer this one.

You can run eDir 8.7 on win2k, or linux, or Solaris or whatever you want (pretty much!) Groupwise 6.5 will run on Win2k as well.
That said, I'd upgrade to NW 6 and run GW in the NLM version and get the file system security and stability. Novell is basically giving away eDir to the cost to upgrade is just time and effort. You can sync eDir with AD via DirXML also.
