GroupWise 6.5 - spell check causes GroupWise to freeze

GroupWise 6.5

Various users find that when they run spell check the GroupWise application freezes and they have to reboot to get out. I have searched Novell (both knowledgebase and newsgroups) and have not had luck finding any other reports of this. Anyone else having this problem and have you found a solution?
 
never seen this prob

what client version sp1 or vanilla

what os and version etc
 
I ran into the same problem on one of my users. He has GW 6.5 SP1 on NT 4.0.
 
GroupWise 6.5 SP1
Various workstations, usually Windows 2000 or XP

Have had the spelling problems on several workstations (in 5.5 it was a problem with one of the dll's but I think all that has changed in this version).
 
Am having the same problem, but so far no solution, any answer would be greatly appreciated.

GroupWise 6.5.4 Server
Latest client Novell has available. (problem occurred on older client also)
 
I think the fix is to find the file "wt61us.uwl" and delete it from the users profile directory (or mapped drive if using a Windows Domain Controller). The file will recreate itself the first time spell check is run, with the correct file size this time. Hope this helps someone else out, it worked for us.
