Groupwise 6.5 Setup will not run

Hello

I have a friend who bought a brand new Dell Inspiron laptop a few weeks ago. Office and usual apps installed no problem but Groupwise 6.5 setup just will not run. As soon as you double click on setup nothing happens no matter how long you leave it. Other apps have been successfully installed since this first happened.

His IT department are on the verge of blowing it away and rebuilding it but this is a last resort which neither party wish to take.

Unfortunately I can't take a look at it myself because a) I have never installed Groupwise before and wouldn't know how to configure it and b) his IT department won't take to kindly to one of their users outsourcing a problem!

So, if any of you have seen this problem before and can suggest a solution, my friend and I would be very grateful and would like to forward it on to his IT dept. Thanks in anticipation.
 
Did they install NTWMS before attempting the client install. OF not they should have.

what OS are you runnign on the laptop, and I assume you're talking about the GroupWise Client.?
 
It's running Windows XP Pro and yes, it's the Groupwise Client.
