GroupWise 6.5 and PDA Synch

We will be upgrading to GroupWise 6.5 (currently at 5.5.3). Many of us synch our calendars and mail to our PDA's. We use Intellisync 5 for this and it works fine.

Will we need to upgrade Intellisync for GW 6.5? I see in the menu that it supports GroupWise 6 but 6.5 isn't listed.

We use a variety of Palm's and the Sony Clie'.

Or, if you have found something better than Intellisync, I'd appreciate knowing about that as well.

If no one here has actual experience with those two products, you might try pumatech.com and contact their tech support for an answer. I'm able to synch GW6.0 using Intellisynch v2.0, so I'm guessing you'll be fine, but.....

We couldn't synch our 5.5 email with older Intellisynch versions and had to upgrade. No problem with the calendar but no luck with the email until we went to Intellisynch 5. You are lucky!

I'm remembering there was a page at pumatech.com that listed the current compatibilities for various Intellisynch versions - but I have to admit I couldn't find it again today or I'd have sent you a link.

At our company, we are using SyncWise Pro 6.0 for GW 6.5 with Palm 5.0 devices and the newest Intellisync for Palm 4x devices. GW 6.5 was not an issue particularly, but the Palm OS was.

Though we too are running SyncWise Pro 6.0 (GW 6.x) I've recently started hearing some great things about "Synchronis" by Nexic from a local GeekGroup. The GUI looks great, as well as the other features. I'm really considering making the switch. If nothing else, may be worth lookin at:

Thanks for the information. I will pass this on to the "powers that be". I have also heard great things about Synchronis. How difficult would it be to make the switch from Intellisynch ? I guess I would have to uninstall Intellisynch and install Synchronis instead? Wonder what that would do to any of my settings?

I am not a "geek" with my Clie' but I use it manily for synching my GW calendar and for Document storage. Ok, ok..so I DO play games on it as well!!

Another question about Synchronis: it doesn't look like it supports the Pocket PC and Windows CE? Or did I miss that?

We are using the latest version of Intellisync and it works fine with GW6.5 You may also want to look at Nexic Synchronous. They have some agreement with Novell to give away a free version. I personally like it better and have far less sync problems than with Intellisync. (Alarms work for one thing!)

Intellisynch 5.32 will work with Groupwise 6.5
