Grouping data in terms of date and then calculating

Dear All - I'm completely new to this forum (and to ReportNet generally).

The data I'm working with are individual transactions. And I want to calcaulte the growth rates for various product lines - i.e. divide the most recent quarter's sales by the previous quarter's.

I don't even know how to cluster into quarterly groups as yet.

Could someone help, please?

The only Cognos manual I could find on the internet was

U need do a time dimention. This time_DIM can have this sistem of group
