3 groups

group 1 = Staff name
Group 2 = Date
group 3 = service

Group 3 could have many different versions of services by Staff name (group 1)

I'm searching for a way to total all these services(group 3) in 1 section as opposed to totalling after each change of service

example:

Jo Schmo
week of 12/2/2012
Service A
Client 1 hr
client 2 30 min
client 3 1 hr
Service B
Client 25 min
client 2 1 hr
client 3 3 hrs
Service C
Client 25 min
client 2 1 hr
client 3 3 hrs

would like to show in 1 section (as opposed to a total after each service)

Service A 2 hr 30 min
Service B 4 hrs 25 min
Service C 4 hrs 25 min
Grand Total 11 hrs 20 min

Suggestions, Ideas welcomed.

You can create a second group on Service and put your totals for each service in that group footer.

That still gave me the details of each service before the group 4 totals.
Each service has a client attached to it with minutes
I'm looking for the clients minutes for all services to be populated in 1 section...

How big is your universe of services? If there are only a small number of different services you can have a Running Total for each one and put them all in your Group 1 footer.

Take a look at Crosstabs. (Found under Insert.) They do totals independent of the main report.
