Crystal Ver 11, access DB - I hate to even ask this because I know it's my own stupidity. I have a report that is fairly simple. There are no formulas, only one group: vehicle_hitch, and a very simple selection statement:

{00_Veh_Inventory.Current Veh Loc} = "4" and
not {00_Veh_Inventory.Vehilce Sold Y/N}

In the group there are several types of hitches, there are a few that are not needed on the report at all. Now I need to add one back in, but I can't remember where or how I did this. Any ideas?

Check two places:

1-report->selection formula->GROUP

2-section expert->group header->suppression->x+2

I tried those, and I checked them again. There's nothing there. It seems like I remember having to choose from the hitch list like you do when you have a custom list, but I'm not sure.

Check your field explorer->parameter and see if you have any parameters there. Still, you would see a parameter being used either in record or group selection or in section suppression.

If you know a given value that alredy exists, export the report top the type Ropert Definition File and then search for the value, it'll show where it is.

This is also a nice way to cheat documnetation.

I'll have to wait till tomorrow for the Report Def. It's a remote server and I copied the report to my desktop and ran the Def but I don't think it's complete. When they get the add in loaded I can run it from the server, but until then, maybe this will help:

I deleted the group in question and then added a new one back in using the same database field. It kept the same listing. Nothing changed. If you browse the data in that field everything shows up. Is there somewhere else that I could have built that list? Geeze this aggravating.

Why not remove the record selection formula and run the report, then add back each clause to see if one of them is responsible for removing the value you are looking for?

Now we're getting somewhere. Before I delete there are 90 records, when I delete the {00_Veh_Inventory.Current Veh Loc} = "4"
value and then bring it back, there are 97 records and all of the group titles are showing up. I'm still blank as to where I might have set that up though. I remember doing it and that it was fairly simple, I just can't remember where...uuuggghh.
