I hav 3 win2k client pc and 1 domain controller with windows 2000 server. All computers r networked and in domain. I hav organizational unit name STUDENTS with 8 user accounts. I have applied group policy which hides run, control panel and some desktop icons. When i log on to domain controller with these user accounts , these features control panel, desktop icons, run are hidden but when i log on to w2k client pc with these user account the features are not hidden, can anybdy help me plz??
 
maybe you applied the policy to the Default Domain Controllers instead of just Domain?
 
Check if those workstations are using your Win2k server IP address as the DNS server, under IP settings. A+, MCP, CCNA

It sounds like your workstations are not communicating properly with your DNS server that works in conjunction with Active Directory. Koquito is correct. Make sure that your that the IP for the DNS for your workstation point back to your IP Address for your Windows 2000 Server. E-mail me if you want more help.
