I am running a Windows 2003 SE server. I am able to verify that my changes to group policy appear to be applied by using the Group Policy Result Wizard in Group Policy Management MMC. My problem is that none of my users seem to be receiving any of the policy changes. I have even tried to force GP to update using the 'gpupdate /force' command from a command line. No Dice!

Any advice from you GPO experts?

Thanks In Advance.

I had a similar issue and all I need to to do was make sure that the server was also the DNS server for all your cliet pc's.

I thought about DNS. All my end users are logging into a WIN 2K3 terminal server, which is pointed to my domain controller for DNS.

Check your user workstations to make sure their firewall is down/off. Also, if you are using McAfee ePO, there is an issue with bocking the .ini file used in group policy.

Regards,
David.

Thanks for the reply DTracy.

I do not have any workstations with a firewall. All my users are using an HP t5000 thin client to access a terminal server via RDP. All of my user's profiles and configuration seetings are being stored on the local terminal server.

I run terminal services also. What I had to do was set up a forwarder on the server to my ISP DNS address. After that I set in my router th DNS Servers and my servers so that all my clients would get them. Once that was done GP replicated correctly.
