Install the Admin Tool 2003 - Windows 2003 CD.
go to cmd - type "ipconfig /flushdns".
Restart the server.
Then go to cmd - type "dfsutil /purgemupcache".
See if the those events come back. Good luck.

I will give it a try this weekend. Thanks!

Check your tcp/ip netbios helper service and see if it is started. This can also cause an issue with you receiving these event ids.

Hello - i too am experiencing the same error messages repeatedly in my event viewer, in my case the affected server is my Citrix Metaframe server running on a Windows 2003 server machine which is not the domain controller. I get the error message each time a user logs onto the machine, obviously when it is trying to apply the policy. This WAS working for several months but only the past week or so it's stopped working.

I've tried all the suggestions on the Microsoft page, the DFS client is running, i've flushed DNS and purged mup cache. The TCP/IP netbios helper service is running!

Can someone HELP please? At the moment i can't set up new users on my citrix server, because when they log on it won't apply the group policy!

Regards
James R Wilson

For anyone else who develops this troublesome error which seems to be caused by something different for everyone who has it, i've managed to get my problem resovled. In my case, i had to remove the server from the domain, and then re-join it, since then the problem has gone away!
