It's getting late if I remember you have to set up ring groups for both the sets and the lines, first figure out who and what lines are to be answered then place the lines and sets to the same groups ie pick-up group 1 and line group 1 assign the DN's to each group.
I think 8X24s have Trunk Answer. There is an associated Ftr code and you program Trunk Answer "Y" in config programming. This allows you to answer any incoming call w/o picking up internal or Vmail transfer calls.
If you want to use pickup, program feature 75 on a button, and tell them to hit that to grab a ringing set. By default, all sets are in pickup group 1. If not, check under B.Admin/5.Capabilities/Set Abilities, and make them group 1.
