Group Paging ringing phones

I have a customer running IP Office 3.0. They have a button setup using the Group Paging action to page a hunt group. This was working fine, but suddenly stopped working. It now rings all the phones instead of picking up the page automatically. No changes that we know of were made to the system during time when the paging stopped working. I have tried changing the button to use the Dial action to dial a shortcode for Dial Paging, but it also just rings the phones. Any ideas as to how I can fix this? Thanks.
 
What type of control unit and how many members are in the group being paged?
 
If it is a 412, max 24 members of paging group. Any other control unit max 16.
 
Its a 403 control unit. The group being paged was about 25. However I've decreased the size to 10 and it still just rings the phones.
 
sounds like the dial paging short code some how got changed or modified, can you let us know exactly how this short code is built?

Telephone Number: 4603(paging group's extension)
Feature: DialPaging

The way they were originally using it was just a button configured for GroupPaging pointing to the paging group.
 
ext 4603 just to be clear is built as a collective call waiting hunt group correct, with all extensions ticked correct?

Yes it is actually called "Group" in this earlier version of IP Office but I believe it is the same as collecting. Voicemail is off, queueing is off, group is In Service with no fallbacks.
 
wow this is an old one! try deleting the shortcode, merge config the rebuild shortcode merge and retest. See if this works,if not try a reboot of the switch

I would start with the basics. Try changing your short code telephone number to a specific extension (versus the group) and make sure it pages that specific extension when dialed (versus ringing it). If that works, I would delete your current hunt group and re-create it with only 10 users to start. Test it and make sure it works after changing your short code telephone number back to the group. If that works, start adding more users. I don't remember the limitations, but from what socalsteve stated you might be maxed out at 16 with a 403.
