Is it possible to change the orientation of groups? Ie instead of the default top to bottom have groups side by side (in a kind of landscape setting?) Cheers

I don't know the answer, but there's another web site you could go to and post the same question to see what response(s) you could get.

has a message board and there are quite a few folks who are answering these types of questions who know how to get results.

Specifically, the person I have noted below, has consistently presented correct and efficient 'workarounds'.

Another resource would be to go to
and search for any documents that are related to grouping in crystal reports.

Hope that helps.

Thanks, the web site didn't load though.. Not sure if this breaches the advertising rules that govern this site. Dgillz is also a very useful member here too.

Crystal is a sophisticated reporting tool rather than a true programming language. It doesn't allow columns, at least Crystal 8.5 does not.

You can get a 'column' effect using subreports, which can be placed side by side, I used this option to display several different types of transaction associated with individual mortgage accounts. But I can't see how this would be any use for your problem. Madawc Williams
