Group ID on Option 242

You can try set Group ID in 46xxsettings file

Depending on your software version and type of phones, you can add the GROUP ID to the station in the station form.

GROUP is not really a parameter but a variable ($GROUP, $MODEL4, $IPADD, $MACADDR). Never tried but I don't think it can be set via the 46xxsettings.txt file.

The GROUP ID is set in CM on page 3 of the station form.

The 46xx settings file is used to assign attributes to that group. We use this to download different parameters to subsets of phones in our network.
