Hi,
I have this major problem where when I include records from other tables, my original group functions i.e count and sum get messed up. The figures are totally different. This happens when I even enter one field from the other table. This table contains details of only one regord within my group. Does this mess it up in any way? How can I work around this because my report has to use details from both tables.
Please help

Is there a one to many relationship between the tables? If so you will need to use running total fields rather than straight summary operations. Please provide more detail if you can. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

There are two tables TairTrans which stores details of the invoice, ticket numbers, fares, pax names etc and TRoute which stores route details for the "FIRST" ticket. The logic here is that if there is a group booking (i.e. a booking with more than 1 pax, all the pax in the invoice will have the same itinery so there will be no duplication of data the tables are organised as:
TAirTrans
tktno invno paxname invamt
1000 1 Mr. X 1000.00
1001 1 Mrs. X 750.00
1002 1 Mstr. X 750.00
2000 2 Mr. Y 1500.00
3000 3 Mr. Z 1000.00
3001 3 Mr. Z 1000.00
3002 3 Mr. Z 750.00

TRoute
tktno route1 route2 route3 airline flightno date
1000 DXB LAX DXB SQ 109 10.10.2001
2000 CMB MLE CMB KU 777 12.10.2001
3000 PAR MAA PAR UA 999 20.10.2001

the first ticket is stores so the relationship is funny.
does this help?

So what results are you getting, versus the results you were expecting?

The results are wonky it's not a product of the numbers involved for example when Im expecting 100,000 from the break up of 4 tickets consisting of 35000 * 2 and 15,000 * 2, I get 144,000.

can you email me the report, with saved data? Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine
