Hello together,

we are about to migrate our Lotus-Notes environment to Exchange 2007 due to policies within our group. With Lotus Notes and Office Edition for Notes (Dr. Materna / Niggemann) we had Group-Faxin Boxes, i.e. a Faxin-Box which was connected to a groupmailbox that could be worked on by different users. Furthermore there was a scripting setup on this mailbox, which allowed for setting a status for each incoming fax, like "new", "beeing worked on", "finished".

With Exchange this seems to be a bit difficult to built like that.

What would you recommend to implement such kind of solution?

Please don't tell me to keep Notes :p

And what OS do you have?

I hope you find this post helpful.

Regards,

Mark

Thanks for your reply.

OS is Windows XP for Clients and Windows 2003 Server (Notes, Exchange and Office Edition CTI-Server), Exchange on 64Bit, the others on 32Bit.

OK, then this should get you going.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Thanks again for your reply.

I have read the description in the link and this looks pretty much like what i already have.

I should explain my intention more verbose:

What we already have:
fax to mail gateway
mail to fax gateway
faxin-box on a per user basis
full CTI-functionality (in- and outbound)

what we are looking for (and had previously with Lotus Notes):

- several fax-inboxes setup for a group or team
- on receiving a new fax in this box: automatically generated infomail to all teammembers that there is a new faxdocument in the inbox
- Statuscheckbox on a per fax basis with the states "new", "beeing worked on", "finished"
- history, who already opened/changed the document

Furthermore we'd like to use the Statuscheckbox-functionality for incoming emails on a per group basis too, e.g. incidentmanagement or ticketsystem-purposes

So this is not a "fax-only" topic.

Thank you for your time !
