The answer to both of your questions is yes. However the method you choose depends on the email your clinet uses as well as the OS he is using.

As greywalk suggests, yes it is possible to both your questions, but it depends on your client's setup. For example your could have a VFP table containing the client's name and addresses, then go onto automating Word to create your letter using the MailMerge in Word and saving each document (or print to ) as a PDF document use the Adobe Acrobat Distiller. Mike,

The reason I suggested the need for more information is because the solution would vary depending on the email set up.

For instance your solution works with MS products but what if he is using the Lotus suite? Then you would need to implement the activeX control for Lotus.

The other item I think would need to be addressed is whether this is a one machine appliction or is this an application with multi-user. Then I think either the Amyuni or another Acrobat file writer would be more cost effective over purchasing the Adobe product for every user.

BTW thanks for the help when I was looking for the solution to emailing from VFP. Several of your FAQ were extremely helpful.

but what if he is using the Lotus suite?

God forbid, I hope not.

I guess also it could be done with VFP->Crystal->Save as PDF.
