I have a dept I've made a basic menu for in CP. The menu options point to 7 newly created DNs that are MCR on key 1. The idea is to have each phone in the group ring & the first person available, pickup the phone. The group DN is MARP'd on the TN belonging to the group lead. FDN & HUNT are to VM but the calls are not going to the lead TN VM like I thought it would despite having the group DN added to their mailbox. Should I make a mailbox for each group DN or is there a way to make these calls go to the group lead VM? Should I make the group TNs phantom TNs? Is there an easier/better path to take?

What might work, would be to set up a hunt group with two DN's in it.
Make the first entry the DN used for the MCR key on all the phones and the second or last entry in the Hunt group list the Call Pilot DN number.

In your newly Call Pilot menu that you have set up, make a change from the MCR DN to the DN used for the hunt group.
Your hunt group should also be set to LIN and not RRB so that the first entry is always selected first which will be your MCR key 1 extensions and if it isn't answered, then the Call Pilot DN will be used next.

I think that you will also need to add in the hunt group DN onto the extension with the MARP set in Call Pilot.

Best of luck

or you can create a dummy analog set with the same MCR DN, make the analog set the MARP and have it FNA and HTA to CP. Basically, all you did was add another phone to your group and changed the marped entry. That's what i'm doing here for our little helpdesk and it works like a charm. Have no idea why it doesn't work without that dummy analog though.

Thanks for the ideas. I wound up simply creating a separate mailbox for the group DNs. I think it will work out best for that dept.
