Guys and Gals,

I just set up a brand spankin' new calling group for our accounting department(Magix sys). The group (772) is set to auto logout, has 5 or so members and it is overflows to voicemail (770). If I call it (772) from an extention, al works as planned. If I call into the AA (Merlin Messaging) and press all the right buttons to get transfered to that group, it goes straight to the voicemail, even if there are several folks logged in. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Pete

did you tell the AA that 772 has a phone associated with it?

I had the same trouble, although it's nice it does it this way. :
From the AA, transfer to calling group 773. Set up a transfer only mailbox for 773. In the Magix, set up 773 as an autologin, no member, overflow at 1 call to calling group 772. It will work.

Thanks Guys,

I got it to work. I changed the phone status to "has a phone", and it seems to work properly. I guess it makes sence, since the AA and the voicemail are sort of the same thing. If I call the group directly, it doesn't get to the VM/AA card until it overflows. If I call the AA, and then try to transfer to the group and it thinks there is no phone at that ext, then it passes it to the VM. If it thinks there is a phone, then it tries it, instead of the VM. Does that make any sence whatsoever? Anyway, it worked for me.
