I created a crosstab report and put the crosstab in the Group Header Company Name. This allows the crosstab report to break when the Group Header Copmany Name changes. I can move the Company Name from the row area of the crosstab to the top of the Group Header. This allows the Company Name to print every time the Group Header Company Name changes and starts a new crosstabe section. The problem comes when a crosstab for a Company Name spans over multiple pages the Company Name does not print at the top of the following pages. Is it possible to get the Company Name to repeat on all of the pages that a crosstab section spans for that given Company Name?

Thanks.

If already using page header Split page header into two sections.

Copy the Company Group name into lower page header section

In section format in suppress formula

count({companynamefield}, {companynamefield}) = 1

This will stop header appearing if group starts at the top of a page.

Are you talking about repeating on horizontal or vertical pages? If vertical, do you have new page after set on the group footer? Or do groups just follow each other without a page break?

The page breaks are on verticle pages. The crosstab does break correctly and hte company name is displayed at the beginnning of each new company break. The problem is when a company spans more than one verticle page the comapny name is only printed on the first page for that comapny rather than every verticle page.

Ian and lbass,

Thanks for the help. The suggestions you made started me thinking, why not create another Group Header so that there is a Group Header a and b. I moved the crosstab part of the report to Group Header b and kept the company name in Group Header a. Now when the crosstab report spans more than one verticle page the company name prints at the top of every page.

Thanks again.

John
