Hello

I have a question on grounding IP office modules.

I grounded our IP office modules, We have two IP 400 digital modules
30 port
one of the 400 digital 30 port modules had the ground screw on back but the other 400 digital does not. No place to ground please advise.

Also the main IP office 500 its almost inpossible to remove it from the rack to ground it any advise on that

thank you

the system is grounded via the 3 prong plug already, that is mostly sufficient.
The two different modules one with and one without the grounding screw are one older than the other but even they are both grounded through the main unit and the uplink cable as that is shielded and passed on ground.

TBH I rarely ground the units

Grounding is critical: The first choice is a cold water pipe; the second choice is buliding steal, and the last choice is a ground rod. If the ground source is (35) feet or less, you may use a number (12) or (14) solid ground wire; however, it it is over (35) feet, you must use a number (6) solid ground wire. It is not acceptable to daisy-chain the units. Run individual number (12) or (14) solid ground wire to a grounding strip to gain access to the ground source.

Wrong, very wrong.
Never ever use water pipes as a ground.
IF the equipment is leaking power over the ground then every body that touches the pipes or even water will get electrocuted.
